Areas of Interest
I am interested in studying how cells recognize and repair different DNA lesions and the consequences of improper repair.
Why I Chose Pitt
I originally chose to apply to Pitt due to the varied stem cell, aging, and DNA damage repair research groups on campus. I chose to come here after touring the city, the facilities, and meeting some of the faculty I was interested working with.
After graduation, Stephen accepted a position in the laboratory of Dr. Li-Huei Tsai at MIT as a postdoctoral associate.
